History

Patricia and William Mead, at the age of 21, bought the business Grays Inn Confectioners. The doors were opened on the 12 September 1966.

Grays Inn Confectioners did not sell papers and magazines then but introduced papers and magazines within the first few months. Our order with the wholesalers was regarded as being too small to be delivered, so we had to collect our paper parcel from the suppliers. That's when we changed our name to Grays Inn Newsagents.

Before long we were providing a news delivery service to libraries, hospitals, PR companies and major organisations.

In 1989 our daughter Kim joined the business and is in charge of the day to day running of the business now.
